Travel Guides & Articles
Practical travel and beauty notes for choosing a stay, packing familiar essentials and understanding review scores.
Carry-on Beauty Essentials
A travel routine begins with what you already use. List the cleanser, moisturizer, sun care and makeup you need for the length of the trip, then check which items you can carry and which are better replenished at your destination.
For ordinary liquids, creams, gels and aerosols in U.S. carry-on screening, the TSA limits each container to 3.4 oz / 100 mL or less, within one quart-sized bag. Container capacity matters: a partly filled larger bottle does not become a compliant small container. Check the authority for every airport on your journey and review applicable exceptions.
Keep names and ingredient lists for familiar products so you can compare local formulations. Check the specific store branch’s inventory before making a special trip. A country’s product range can differ in shades, formulations and package sizes.
Leave space for a simple arrival routine. Replenishing essentials first makes it easier to enjoy new discoveries without replacing every step at once.

A beautiful hotel can still place you far from the experiences that brought you to a city. Before comparing rooms, write down the sights, reservations and shopping stops that matter most. Group them on a current map and compare the neighborhoods where you expect to spend time.
Use the complete hotel address. A label such as “central” or a citywide map result is too broad to establish convenience. Compare the exact entrance with the station exit, spa address or department-store entrance you intend to use.
Distance and time answer different questions. A short route can involve stairs, an awkward crossing or a change of transport; a longer route may be direct. Check the mode and departure time for your journey, and leave room for check-in or reservation requirements.
Compare the room and the address together. Consider cancellation terms, room type, recent guest feedback and the practical cost of transfers as part of the complete stay.

A guest average summarizes feedback submitted by other visitors on a named platform. It can help you compare options, but it does not mean the publication has visited or tested the venue.
Our listed venues require at least 30 reviews and a guest average from 3.0 to 5.0 on a disclosed five-point scale. We group averages into 3.0–3.9, 4.0–4.4 and 4.5–5.0, and keep hotel star classifications separate.
Read recent reviews for the details that affect your own trip. Look for comments about the room type, noise, service, accessibility or crowding that matter to you. Review counts and averages can change, and a strong citywide reputation does not guarantee the experience at every branch.
The correct review subject matters. A department-store score is not a skincare product score; a hotel average is not the score for its spa. Airline-wide feedback covers different routes and cabins. Our listings identify the subject, source, count and snapshot review date.
